My event organizer client works with the annual conference for National Patient Safety Foundation. Each year, there is a Powerpoint template created based on the year’s them. Speakers are provided with the template, then returned their completed decks as the organizers coordinated the running of the slideshows. Often times elements from previous templates – their university or hospital – ended up in the completed decks as they frequently just copied and pasted old slides into the template.
My task was to review each slide deck and ensure compliance with the template and style. This was strictly a quality control on the design; no edits were made to the content or graphics. Exceptions being any charts or graphs changed to match the color palette of the template.
