Basic Plot:
Joe Sandilands is on his way up to Simla for a well-deserved vacation. En route to the town, his new traveling companion is shot and killed in a similar fashion to an earlier death. Joe teams up with the local police captain, uncovers a twisting deception and once again, doesn’t deliver the killer.

My assessment:
Liking these books very much, although I felt we got a little less of India this time. Joe is developing into an interesting character whom I’m looking forward to getting to know better.

I had the foundation of the plot figured out early on, but when Cleverly reveals all in the middle of the book, you know you’ve just scratched the surface. The plot continued to twist and turn until the very end. Not keeping me on the edge of my seat, but giving me an enjoyable ride nonetheless.
